CMH/Championing a Culture of Mental Health and Well-Being at the Workplace-The Role of the 21st Century Leader (23rd – 25th July: 24th –26th September 2025)

Organisations are beginning to acknowledge that the mental health of their employees is as crucial as their physical health. Changes in our moods, emotions, and stress levels can dramatically affect our ability to achieve employment goals and be productive.

Mental health issues can affect one in four people at some point in their lives. These mental issues can have a significant impact on employee wellbeing. They are a major cause of long-term absence from work making mental health issues a significant concern in the workplace.

Related to these issues is the problem of stigma. Most often discussions surrounding mental health in the workplace are shrouded with stigma, hindering individuals from seeking necessary support and accommodations.

Various research findings indicate that workplace mental health interventions by employers have resulted in improved employee well-being and job performance.

This three-day intensive, fun and interactive training program seeks to empower participants to promote a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages open communication and psychological safety for employees.

The program focuses on developing the skills needed to provide leadership in championing a culture of mental health and well-being.

Course Objectives

  • To enable participants develop an appreciation of what mental health is and how it impacts employee productivity.
  • To enable participants develop and explore the causes of stress and the risks of prolonged or excessive stress.
  • To enable participants understand the role of stigma in worsening the mental health epidemic.
  • To enable participants develop key workplace policies and procedures that can impact on wellbeing
